Generations Thunderwing to be remolded as...

Hyped up about the new Generations Thunderwing figure? Well, it gets better! It seems that Generations Thunderwing has joined the club with Cybertronian Bumblebee and Darkmount of having images of their remolded figures being revealed in their instructions. Bumblebee's instructions showed images of Cliffjumper, and Darkmount's instructions showed images of Skullgrin. And now, thanks to some images of Thunderwing's instructions, which were posted by user G1 Cindersaur over at the TFW2005 boards, we can clearly see that Thunderwing will be remolded into none other than...

BLACK SHADOW!

For those of you unfamiliar with this character, Black Shadow is a Decepticon mercenary from the Japanese 1988 series Transformers: Victory. He and his partner, Blue Bacchus, are Crossformers, which are pretty much the same thing as Mega Pretenders (as both were remolds of G1 Thunderwing and G1 Crossblades respectively), except that their Pretender Shells are wholly robotic instead of organic. The two only appear in one episode of the Victory series, but that was enough to leave a lasting impression on the two.

The two have gradually been introduced into Western fiction, such as the TFCC TransTech fiction and the IDW comics, but this will be the first time that either of them will receive a fully U.S. toy release from Hasbro.

The headsculpt and remolded torso details are dead ringers for Black Shadow. Energon Megs/Galvy didn't have those details and also had a third horn in the center of his helmet.

I've modified the first link to be directed to the main forum page, where one can click each image to enlarge them and get a closer look at the finer details.

Bravo Hasbro, it takes a lot for me to go: ...

...who?

Had to look it up.
I'm hoping for a Deathsarus out of this mold myself.

Hehehe the TFWiki info for this guy just makes me laugh - gangsta. *giggles*

With such a unique mold I was wondering how they'd do a repaint. Nice to see the Jap lines getting some love.

it would be nice to get, but I still haven't seen wave 2+ of the Grnerations and Transformers/HftD lines in stores

There's already a Universe toy of Bluestreak (Silverstreak). Give us a Stepper/Ricochet figure of Jazz.

As for Sideswipe into Tigertracks, just swap heads and bodies with Sunstreaker.

true it would be that easy to do for tigertrack but that would mean buying another sunny and swipe wich are expensive around where i am.
i forgot about silverstreek tbh lol.
steper would be a good idea i completely forgot about him
