TFMaster: A Tribute

I wanted expand on the sad news below and share a few stories of our experiences w/ Bill "TFmaster" Koshorek.  I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. That something like this could happen to someone so young is a terrible tragedy.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family....

"TFM" and I met years ago at Botcon, (2000?)  I was always impressed with his artistic talent and ambition.  His works graced the table of many subsequent Botcons which we appreciated whole-heartedly.

I remember one instance, years before he started Transtopia, he had e-mailed and asked if we would be willing to host "a few" images of kitbashes he had done.  "Of course," I told him.  Little did I know what I was in for!  (This was before digital cameras had become mainstream and before he had one!)  You should've seen the size of the envelope he sent me!  There must've been 5+ rolls of film worth of kitbash pictures!  The process of scanning, cropping, sizing, organizing all those prints was a daunting task.  One that I procrastinated...

Eventually, thankfully, he got himself a good digital camera and e-mailed us the images.  This time we got them up promptly!  An excerpt from our Alterations Section here:
new: Pic1, Pic2,.custom G1 Devastator1 pic2, pic3
G1 alterations: Galvatron, Megatron, Ratchet, Rodimus Prime, Sharkticon & Starscream
BMach alts: Jetstorm, McDonalds toy recolors, Megatron, Mirage, Nightscream, Obsidian, Optimus Primal, super beast mode Primal, Silverbolt, Thrust
His own original creations: BW Bombshell, Bonecrusher, Centorr, Grimlock, Grimlock pic 2, Ratbat (CD!), Slag, BW Starscream

To me it seemed TFM was always as grateful to have a venue showcase his work (Botcon/net) as he was for the praise it received.  And thankfully, he was not one to hold a grudge and 'let me off the hook' for not scanning all those pictures!  :)

Seibertron.com has set-up a link for donations for his funeral and his son.  We'll miss you TFM.

I'm going to miss him. I don't even know him yet, I feel like he's a close personal friend of mine who's passed.

May TFMaster's spirit become one with the Matrix. May he join with all the other Autobots and Transfans who have died in the Allspark.

Till all are one.

I checked his site very often and was impressed with his work. The guy's from Michigan like me. So I've lost a fellow Michigander. Here is to you TFMaster, now that you are one with the Matrix!
