TakaraTomy has updated their Transformers website with lots of new information. Specifically, the Events page has revealed several exclusive delights: Henkei Crystal Convoy, Henkei Skywarp, and Henkei Thundercracker.

Crystal Convoy will be offered at the International Tokyo Toy Show from June 19th – 22nd for Y3500. A small quantity of the figures will be available through e-Hobby after the show on a lottery basis**. See more info here.

**Contest Rules:
This contest is open to Japanese residents only. Applicants can sign up for the drawing between July 1st – 7th . The winner will be announced July 14th. One request per person.

As for Skywarp and Thundercracker, Toy Hobby Market will be offering Henkei Skywarp, and Ganbo-store.com will be offering Henkei Thundercracker. Both sites began accepting pre-orders May 22nd and will continue to take pre-orders until June 20th. The figures are slated to ship in late September.

And don't worry about an outrage over Henkei Thundercracker because of the release of BotCon Thundercracker a few years ago. Pete Sinclair of Fun Publications has made a post regarding the recent news of the Henkei release of classics Thundercracker in a post on Allspark.com. See the post here.

I dont know what it is about "Crystal" figures but i have a soft spot for them ever since i got my Clear Soundwave as a gift. Pictures really dont do them justice they really are quite interesting to look at in person.

I know im double posting this but i dont care ;-P

Ok, so randomly i was just watching my heroes dvds getting ready for the release of the season 2 dvds (on or around August 28th if im not mistaken, fyi) and i found a transformers related umm for lack of a better term, Geek moment

In the episode "Unexpected". The one where Hiro and Ando get tricked by that hussy in Vegas to steal some bag. Bill Fagerbakke, who plays Bulkhead in animated is firing a gun at a Silver Pontiac Solistice (Jazz) that Ando and the chick get out of. IDK i just found it to be an interesting "Geek" moment and thought id share lol ok im done now :-).

It's not THAT old news, prime. It's fairly recent news. And just because you've heard about it before doesn't mean everyone has.

What's Henkei? Everytime I see the word I think of Hentai.

Why didn't we get Thundercracker in Classics? This is just not fair! Ah, well. Mybe Universe 2008 for Thundercracker.

We did get a Thundercracker in the USA for Botcon. We are getting another Starscream repaint universe character, but I dont know his name.

Noone, "Henkei" or "Henkei! Henkei! Transformers" is a Japanese Transformers toyline that is the Japanese equivalent of "Transformers: Classics" and the soon-to-be-released "Transformers: Universe" (A.K.A. "Classics 2.0") toylines. The differences between the Classics/Universe and the Henkei version of the toys are that each of the Henkei ones are colored in far more show-accurate color schemes, have tampographed allegiance insignias on them, and have vacuum-metallized chrome somewhere on them (similar the the Transmetals of the old "Beast Wars" toyline).

People thought I was crazy when I predicted there would be other Henkei seekers. See I told you. It's too bad they are gonna end up on other sites as over priced exclusives. I hear the web-site won't ship to the U.S. not that I can read it anyway. It should still work out cheaper than buying the Bot-con stuff. Here's hoping.

lol, hentai. :P don't google it. lol! thats the same thing that I think of EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear "henkei".
Jumpercliff said,  - 2008-05-26 16:18:09
Nice seekers, I'll probably only get Thundercracker. Unless one of you guys has an extra Botcon one you don't need....
Darkton said,  - 2008-05-26 20:13:59
Finally! If I can afford them, I'll get them!

I pre-ordered Thundercracker yesterday from BBTS and it's already sold out. It's more than I would usually pay, but since the Botcon '07 one is going for $300 on ebay, I'll consider it fair. Now, I wonder if Dirge and Trust are next, or maybe Sunstorm
