*UPDATED* Transformers Animated is NOT CANCELLED in the UK!

TFW2005 user Red Leader has brought up some devastating news for fans in the UK. He has reported saying that Transformers Animated might be on the verge of being cancelled in the UK. The toyline, that is. Nothing has been said of the cartoon.
There is neither an official confirmation nor a denial on this matter by Hasbro, so here's hoping for those fans in the Uk that it is just a rumor. You may read his ominous report here.

*UPDATE*

Good News! According to Transformers at the Moon, Animated is NOT CANCELLED in the UK. Wave 4.5 is just being delayed till later. You can read the wonderful revelation here.

Wait, WHAT THE HELL?!

This had better not be real. I wouldn't want the guys at the UK to miss out!

That's kind of... random.

Now for the long answer to Tyscream's thought of "random".

I know many of the viewers of this site are a bit younger than Perceptor and I (we're each in our 30s with kids). So, I don't know how many of you are keeping up with current political happinings.

I'll explain this without taking a side. This isn't a political site.

Turns out the economy of the USA is directly linked to the the economies of most other nations. Many of them have been feeling the same pains we have to at least some degree. In the case of the Europian Union, they're stock exchange slid heavily in the last few days. In part because our stock exchange has been on the slide for a week.

The bad economies all around the world mean multi-national companies (Hasbro) have to cut losses where ever possible. If the TFA line in the UK is bearly profitible or worse yet a slight loss, Hasbro has to drop it. Because, it looks like the world's markets are going to keep sliding (at least for now).

This report of "stop taking orders" really just means that Hasbro is taking a look at which markets are the most profitible and considering diverting product there.

All of wich really sucks, if you live in the UK. Sorry to my collecting brethren who live across the pond. :(

Okay, this had better not happen. Over Prime's dead chassis this cannot happen.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN!!!!!!
IT WAS A BETTER IDEA TO KILL OFF OPTIMUS PRIME THAN DO THIS!!!

those are really bad news! this could be comparable to the end of G-1 in the US
even though this time TFs have been doing great and the reasons for this event are more the lousy world economical situation,

how do you say bolsa de valores in english?

Just to clarify - they have cancelled Deluxe Wave 4.5 - mainly as it only had the addition of one new toy over Wave 4. This does not mean wave 5 + is cancelled. The line has NOT been cancelled - its just one wave assortment of Deluxes that has been cancelled!

but at tformers.com they said that the line is a big bleeding and even china is throwing heavy discounts yeah they still don´t have confirmation but heres the url:

With Argos having had a 25% off offer and Tescos doing their usual loss leading to get you into the stores, its no wonder little stores don't get the sales.

Woolies loss leading mentality to get people into stores is taking them ever closer to failure after the result they recently posted.

Perhaps if the pricing was closer to that in the USA sales in general would be better. Dont forget that in the Uk a Deluxe Animted toy is £9.99 and a Universe Deluxe is £12.99 and £1 is currently worth $1.76... so we normally pay the equivalent of $17.60 for a Deluxe Animated toy over here, so even with 25% off at Argos last month its still cheaper in the USA...

Actually it was worse than that last month as I think it was closer to £1 = $2.....

I don't think animated being cancelled was worse than killing off optimus prime, and I only have 1 animated toy, and It's a good one, yes, but most of the animated line is actually not that good, I only want optimus prime[voyager], ultra magnus, and megs[leader]. And if it is only 1 wave, it's not as bad. As NW said before,"These tf's are for kids." I think the best line right now is classics 2.0. Bye.

P.S. Sorry for all the commas and run on sentences.

I'm glad to know that Animated isn't canceled in the UK, pure for selfish reasons: I don't live in the UK but in The Netherlands, and you can bet that if the UK is going to be affected so is the mainland ;-)

Also what age concerns: I'm 31, my first Transformers were Goldbug, although I asked for Bumblebee (!) and Dirge.
