That's me Mr. Out-of-touch-with-new-Transformers! Jeez, one must *really* pay attention! What can I say, if it was news to me, then I figured it might be news for others. hope you like the '08 updates!

Hey Perceptor, did you hear they're coming out with a new line. I think its called Armada. Actually I haven't been paying any attention at all to these loads of recolors. Is this the last hurrah before Animated? I hope so.

Nice work on the site Perceptor.

Concerning the Re-Paints. I think for the most part, most of them are pretty awesome, but I agree, it is too much. Grindcore, Jetstorm, and Wingblade are definite buys for me, because I never got the Cybertron editions.

I just wonder if we are going to see a subsequent release of the Cybertron Leaders.

I guess there's always that posiblity MM. But, I don't imagine $40 repaints of old figures selling terribly well. To be completly honest even with as good as the Cybertron Leader Class figures were, they were only so good.

I like Big Daddy and Jolt and Divebomb out of the four, especially since Big Daddy is a homage to the Micromaster. Anybody have a favorite?

I'll pass on all of these. As cool as they look, they don't really catch my attention.

I really like Jolt, but like Sabrblade I won't buy it. I tend to keep clear of repaints, unless they are REALLY good. I might buy Japanese Classics Megatron, maybe. And, he's fantastic!

Ever wonder why there is such a delay on the Animated figures? They're wasting their freakin time on all these stinkin repaints! This movie/allspark line has to set the record for as many repaints as they've done. All I have for the movie characters are the original ones that transformed in the movie. The actual movie characters, plus wreckage and the original real gear. They can keep all the repaints from the movie, energon and cybertron series. Twenty years from a reissue of figures from the last four series won't be any fun to but because they released so many colors of the same toy. I'm not totally against repaints, especialy G1 a slong as they are different characters. I'm also not against upgrades, a good example of this would be the Cybertron defense team. Those have to be the best upgrades I ever seen. The only thing I didn't like was the upgraded Hot Shot was actually shorter in robot mode than the car version, this one should have moved up one in size class.

NOW BRING OUT THE ANIMATED FIGURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To answer your question Scorpomike, Has/Tak/Tomy isn't wasting their time. They aren't even wasting kids & their parents time/money. They're only wasting the time of non-completist collectors. The movie line is still selling very well.

And while the "collector base" may be bored with Movie repaints, we only make up about 30% of the total sales. Even if none of the collectors bought a single repaint it wouldn't slow sales enough for H/T/T to push up the release date of the TFA line.

On the flip side of that is that H/T/T can't do general release figures just for collectors. Again even if EVERY collector bought up a given line it wouldn't be enough in sales to keep a line running. Do you remember the 6" Titanium line? Why do you think they stopped making it? Simple, they didn't appeal to kids and their parents. And, the fan base wasn't big enough on it's own to support the line.

So, we collectors will just have to be patient. Just like when you preorder something at an online retailer. If I can wait until June for my Encore Omega Supreme from BBTS, I can wait until June for the TFA figs to hit Target shelves.

No Knightwing, I didn't have a question, I had comments. They need to get their act together. Collectors or not collectors. They released the movie figures and figures from other series before the series aired on TV. Most of those Titanium figures stunk anyway, especially Soundwave and G1 Ultra Magnus, the only cool one was Scourge and he wasn't much to brag about. My opinion of repaints is still the same and I'm sticking to it. What ticks me off is when they keep pushing release dates forward. At least with Encore Omega Supreme, they have a release date and I don't see it being pushed forward, same with Sky Lynx. I have both of them preordered and I don't have a problem with waiting for them. So as far as patience goes, I can wait, but stick to their release dates and quit pushing things forward. That's when I get ticked.

Sorry Scorpomike. Bottom line is - as long as the moive figs are selling well, HTT is going to keep making them. I agree that it blows, but that's how it is.

I liked the Titanium line...

Sorry to go off Knightwing, Yeah, I agree, it stinks what is getting done. They might be hurting themselves in the long run with the Animated line. They might sell less because it will be later in the cartoon season when reruns are airing, or they might sell a whole dump load because of all the salivating fans like myself.

TriPredRavage, I didn't think the entire Titanium line was bad, just a lot of them. Liked Rodimus Prime, Scourge, The Fallen and War Within Megatron. I'd still like to find a WW Optimus Prime, but it would be hard to come by cheap, plus I'm not looking too hard for one.

I'm waiting for my Encore Sky Lynx and Omega Supreme. Plus, MP Grimlock, if that picture is not Grimlock, I'll be really shocked. Who else could it be?
