The new head sculpt looks great, but it still is not at the top of my list of wants for Leader Class OP improvements. What I want is more red + blue flame detail on the fore-arms. I also want red flames on the inside ankle and better paint on the front nose of truck and better paint application (blue metal) on the upper legs and more movie accurate paint application on the upper arms...

The sword mold looks GREAT, but the plastic colors do not accurately reflect the red/orange look seen in the movie. Hopefully the pix we've seen are still preliminary and more improvements will be made.

From what I understand of it, these are the test shot sword and head. Which would mean we'll get much better colors on the head and sword for final run production.

ya mon, those pix are the all grey plastic prototype. But the in color images I've seen around of the sword have much of it in blue... See in the still image from the movie (just above prototype pix), the sword is an almost translucent (glowing?) orange w/ a silver metal casing above it. *That* is what I'm hoping for. We'll see!

It looks the same Leader class, but it has the sword from the movie. I wonder why they did not do the orange ax and Megs have the purple mace.

I imagine Micheal Bay wanted to go for "realism", although what's seriously realistic about alien robots coming from space that can on the spot morph into a human vehicle that they happen to see?
So that means giving Optimus more of a blade that seemed to have a super heated element to it (the inside appeared to be glowing hot orange), and instead of the energon mace, Megs' hand just converts into the spike ball, with chains attached. But movie wise, these really don't even make it to my list of things I wish were done differently.

After seeing what its head looks like, I can't tell if this new head or the old one is more movie-accurate.

Wait, so the Premium is gonna have the Axe? That's cool. Maybe this is why I've been holding out on picking up Movie OP. And I here I thought I was waiting for the Nightwatch version so I could pretend he was Nemesis Prime...
