Hey everyone!  I have uplaoded my pictures from Toyfair to the albums.  You can view them here!  Human Error and I shall be collaborating on our own recap of Toyfair, which should be available soon, so keep your eyes open.  You'll also notice I have a video uploaded in my album, it doesn't have sound, but I will be adding audio to it soon, so be patient please!  Happy viewing everybody.  My favorite items have to be Classic Universe Galvatron and Classic Universe Blaster (Cybertron Soundwave Repaint).  What are yours?

I like the Universe/classics Tankor , animated Jazz and the crossover figs, I still would like to know if those have little pilots like the SWTFs

Yeah, I thought the Blaster was pretty cool, Rhinox. If you see it in person, it's paint application is really cool. Yeah, Galvy is a little small, but I'm really fond of his design. I'm really quite pleased with the lines that are going to be coming out. I'm also looking forward to all of the Beast Wars Heroes figures.

The more of Animated I see the more of my breakfast I lose.

Cool

That Headmaster head on bulkhead is so tacky-looking. And cheaply-made. Not much effort there.

Rhinox, your comments keep getting removed because you keep using derogatory terms in your comments. Race has nothing to do with it. The more you swear, the more they get deleted. That's why.

Wouldn't it help telling people to just edit their post? T_T

Back on topic
TPR:it's not that the blaster toy looks bad,it just doesn't qualify for classics imho,he doesn't even have a face, mouth,or a homage to G1 for that matter. he's a red soundwave, not much more.

As for galvatron,i'll definately be picking that one up,i just hope there is a leg mod possible to get him up to deluxe size, instead of near scout class.

I honestly thought that the Blaster repaint could have been an American release/homage of Star Saber. He has the same color scheme. Human Error laughed at me when I posed the possibilty. T_T Oh well, I was hoping, and I was denied...

I can't wait until the classics come out. Sunstreaker was the first tf I every got. Prowl looks awsome. Galvatron looks the coolest.
Human Error said,  - 2008-02-17 15:55:15
Rhinox, the soundwave repaint is going to be under the universe banner fyi
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-17 15:57:45
I know, but the new universe is a continuation of classics. How 'bout the new head sculpts you promised, hasbro?
I can live with the fact that he uses a laserbeak with paint apps removed, but the soundwave head is pretty much unacceptable.
GRARGH! FANBOY SMASH!
Chaos Bringer said,  - 2008-02-17 16:08:00
The only American release/homage to Star Saber is a reissue or a masterpiece. I wouldn't trust Hasbro to do a Classics one right. Case in point Blaster. It does not resemble Blaster. Nor does Octane resemble Octane. Galvatron is recognisable, but not as much as the premise of Classics/Universe would lead you to expect.

Prowl and sunstreaker are how all the Classics/Universe should have been done. They are perfect.
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-17 16:17:24
Octane does resemble his g1 self, truck to plane to robot with shield, even has the same head shape. although the classics one is a bit shorter.
Knightwing said,  - 2008-02-17 16:23:12
While I find it hard to argue with anything that's been said so far, you guys do have to cut Hasbro a little slack. It costs a lot of money to make a new mold. They have to ballance out the cost of the new mold with likely sales.

I for one don't care for Blaster, but I didn't really like it as Soundwave either. Universe/Classics are likely going to have slower sales than TFA toys, because there won't be a show to help promote that line. Even so, what we've seen so far looks good.
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-17 16:31:54
I´m picking up all c2.0´s except blaster.
Heavy duty is...just no... what´s the point to him? that's just so random.
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-02-17 20:47:41
His name is Heavy LOAD, not Duty. How are so many people mistaking him for a G.I. Joe? JK
Scorpomike said,  - 2008-02-17 21:13:25
That Galvatron is cool, I didn't like Blaster. I have the Blaster reissue from Takara. I didn't like that mold even as Soundwave. It's a pain to transform to jet mode. Animated Megatron is the best. I can't wait to get one of those, I might buy two and keep one mint in the box. Octane is definitely a must buy. Powerglide, I don't have a problem with his size, I wish he was more red, he's definitely Powerglide.

must buy GALVATRON
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-18 02:38:58
Scorpomike, the usa cybertron soundwave had a mold error and couldn´t transform, this one will be easier since it uses the galaxy force mold.
Knightwing said,  - 2008-02-18 05:11:28
Even assuming you're right Rhinox, it still is a debatable figure for the fandom. It appears to be a love it or hate it peice. While "hate" maybe a rather strong term, I certinly don't love it.

Then agian, what do you do with Soundwave and Blaster that young people can relate to? Cassettes are to those under 15 what 8-tracks were to those of us in our 30s. How do you make these two charactors revelant today? Actually, I really like the idea of an aircraft with transforming bombs. This mold inparticular just didn't work well.

For that matter, the TFA idea of street racer with a major sound system that uses musical instrements for "cassettes" isn't bad. I just hope Hasbro figures out a way to do more than the one gituar mold for affiliated minibots. I don't know if they could make drums or a keyboard work, but it'd be neet to see TFA Soundwave have a whole band's worth of instruments.
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-18 05:28:46
Well music label soundwave was good, right?
I'll probably pick up blaster because i don't own the mold yet and i'm a completist, but it's still very yuck to me.
Galvatron is cool, but too short and titanium-ish.
Heavy bowel movement doesn't appeal to me either, but DAMN i want all those others!

Has anyone come up with a release date yet for the Classics 2.0 line?
KL said,  - 2008-02-18 11:14:54
I think we may have awhile to wait for classics/U. I remember hearing somewhere that classics 2.0 is hitting store shelves in the fall, ~September. TPR and HE, what did Hasbro say in NYC about this? And why the heck is it taking SO long for Animated to finally be on store shelves??? Shoot, I'm not a big fan of the waiting! Especially w/ all these awesome TFA shows airing!
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-18 11:39:28
American rumors say august,UK rumors say April/may.
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-18 12:11:20
Mechaburst,no spamming,do i have to tell this to spammers every time?
Knight wing said,  - 2008-02-18 16:47:58
KL, TFA toys hit the shelves on June 22. Maybe later depending on distribution and where you live. It's taking so long, because Hasbro is milking the Movie line for all it's worth. At this point, I think they may actually be trying to keep it running straight through untill the TF2 Movie toys are out. :)
KL said,  - 2008-02-18 18:26:16
Yeah, well that's nice and everything. They can keep some form of TF movie toys on the shelves from now until Transformers 8. (In fact I hope they do!) I just want my TFA toys right now! June 22 is far too far away for me.

Soundwave looks great!
Mighty Maximal said,  - 2008-02-19 17:48:00
Fav Item is Probably Leader Bulkhead (if one ignores the Headmaster accessory).

But I also like the Marvel Transformers and The Activators.

As for Blaster the idea is not a bad one - but I'd have prefered a new head - so perhaps he should have been a club piece and least then the current excessive hang up on realism would not have infected him and he could have been more red.

I think they have over done it a bit in the number of the core Autobot characters available in so many sizes - especially Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Optimus.

I'd hope they don't go totally crazy like this in the later waves and introduce more background characters such as extra Constructicons - or even made some more Cybertronian modes.

As for the Classics/Universe line - So far over all it's impressing me less than the last time - but if they make some good repaint choices for other TF Cybertron repaints I may warm to it more.
