Blu-Ray Beats HD format

CNN.com reports that Toshiba has publically announced it is abandoning the HD format.   That means that just as VHS beat out Betamax in the 1980's, all those HD players and disks (like Transformers) will be the equivalent of yesteryear's obsolete technology.  (Sorry Soundwave lovers but it's time for an upgrade!)  Hopefully, that means Transformers in high definition may soon be available in Blu-ray format.  Here's hoping, we'll keep you posted.

I'll get an HD TV before I worry about getting a blu ray player. The transition won't be so bad. If the 2007 Transformers movie isn't going to be on Blu Ray, I know what the next movie will be released on. I'm an audio and video nut, so I don't mind upgrading.

As for Soundwave, the cassettes guys can scan something else, some are already Alternators. I see Soundwave himself is already an MP3 player.
