New Toys'R'Us movie exclusives, and BotCon Megatron?

Seibertron.com has images and information on two new Toys'R'Us movie exclusives: Inferno, redeco of Armada Red Alert, and Mudflap, redeco of Cybertron Mudflap.

Click here to see the images

Also, Seibertron.com has found an image of what appears to be BotCon Heroic Megatron. It is a redeco/remold of Energon Megatron (likely the smaller one).

At the moment, the image is essentially a rumor. The picture appears to be Photoshopped, so the final product may be different.

See it for yourself here.

I like the clearly drawn on head to that Megatron. I always love when they do that. I don't know if it's done to pass as concept art, or if it is just a really bad attempt at a fake. Either way, I like how it incorperates the original G1 Comic design where Megs had a dark collored helmet instead of the silver one we have come to know and... love?... I guess?...

That's a dumb pick for a Megatron fig. They should have done Cybertron, not Energon.

Wouldn't the Cybertron figure look a little too evil for "Heroic Megatron"?

I really hope this is what Botcon Megatron looks like. The picture in the link is photoshopped from leader class E. Megatron, but since it was posted on a board in China where pictures of the other exclusives were posted, I don't doubt that the actual figure will look almost exactly like that.

Besides, Cybertron Megatron is just too large.

Those recolors aren't badly done at all, i really like them. Personally i would've liked to see Red Alert as Ironhide (since armada red alert was actually meant to be a new Ratchet). As far as Energon Megatron regressing into Megatron, i think its a waste since that mold had Galvatron written allover it, and we're not even sure that if its real wheather its teh original half size version or not.
On Tripred's note of the of the helmet, I always liked to think of Aramda Megs as the same as his G1 self, and i think he may have been based on the warwithin model. I like to think that the preearth Armada form was gained after Warwithin and that just before the events leading to G1, Megatron took off his helmet and put on a purple version of the G1 helmet before boarding the Nemesis.

This looks like the big mold of Energon Megatron. Yeah, I do like the colors. The head is cool, it looks like the head of G1 Megatron from the Japanese cartoon.

Armada Red Alert and Cybertron Mudflap repaints, I'm not buying them. I'd consider Mudflap if they would have painted him Constructicon green and called him Hook. Or to be politically correct these days, Decepticon Hook.

...because every construction vehicle has to be green and purple by law... <_<

Repitition kills, Scorpomike. Once in a while, homages are good, but so is change.

On the note of this figure, it's looking pretty cool. Not all that different 'cept for the head, though (well, at least to me.)

I think the cybertron defense scattorshot would be a better "good" Megatron. Besides, the tank homage would be present and still it would have something new to offer.
