Discussion Topic: If you could also have...

Posted by:
Sabrblade at 2008-06-21 5:27 pm

In our previous discussion topic, it was asked what transformers character you would want to see in a live action Transformers movie and what they would turn into. For this one, we would like to know, if you could have any Transformers character appear in Transformers Animated, who would the be, what would they turn into, AND WHO WOULD VOICE THEM. However, the caharacter(s) cannot be someone who is already known to appear in the series at a later time. But, they can be of any faction (Autobot, Decepticon, Maximal, Predacon, Vehicon, Mini-Con, etc.) or race (Cybertronian, Human, Quintesson, Alien, etc.) that has appeared in previous Transformers media.

In addition, here are some optional features that the character(s) can have:
* Specific weapon(s)
* Special ability(s) (invisibiltity, hologram projections, martial arts, etc.)
* and whether or not the character(s) is (are) a homage(s) to a previous character(s).

However, there is a catch with the weapons and special abilities. Due to the way each side is portrayed in the series, in this topic Autobot-allied/good characters can only have melee or short-ranged weapons, and Decepticon-allied/evil characters can have weapons of any range, long or short. Plus, your character can ONLY have EITHER two kinds of weapons & one special ability, or two special abilities and one kind of weapon. This is just to let you be more creative in a challenging way.

My characters are listied below.

The characters I would like to see in Animated are not Transformers: the Quintessons. They were only in TF:TM and G1 season 3, not a lot of fiction for the aliens responsible for helping create Cybertron and the Autobots and Decepticons.

They do not/would not transform, so there would be no altmode for them (their ships would still be corkscrew-shaped, but not as thin). However, they would still have five faces and each one would be similar to the faces of their G1 counterparts, except, their expressions would all be the same. Instead of faces that are enraged, laughing, bitter, doubtful, and angry (Death), they would all have a neutral/non-emotional look (Death would still be skull, just not angry).

Since they were practically emotionless and dull, I would like to hear them voiced by a dull-voiced (but very talented) actor: Ben Stein.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Stein

They would have two abilities and one kind weapon. Their weapon would be these tentacles that would come out from underneath their oval-like bodies that could shoot these tiny lasers from their tips. Their abilities would be a mind-based power composed of elements similar to telekinesis, telepathy, and hypnosis; and a levetation power (this is how they would move around).

Finally, they would a homage to both the G1 Quintessons (of course) and TF:Energon's Alpha-Q/Alpha-Quintesson.

The character I would like to see in transformers animated would be octane. He would transform into a semi truck and a bomber plane. I don't know who would voice him. Could he be silent?
mkbauch said,  - 2008-06-21 18:44:19
That would be really funny to hear Ben Stein's voice coming out of a Quintesson. I'd like to see Motormaster make an appearance. He'd transform into a Peterbilt tractor truck with trailer. As a special ability I'd give him an ability to remote control non-transforming vehicles (ie Stunticons). I'd also give him a pair of cannons, just for giggles. If they'd be willing to upgrade his intelligence from his G1 version, you can have him voiced by Brian Thompson. Look him up, you'll recognize him from b-movies as the a-typical bad guy.

Hot Rod/imus as some vehicle, truck or car, but with a thin front end, not like the huge front end like energon rodimus. He totally needs to hook up wit Arcee, meing. Maybe Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueler, Inspector Gadget) as voice

I like the idea of motormaster, but maybe he could have a remote control that zaps normal cars into living transformers.

The character I would like to see in the annimated series would be computron ?
I always thought the techobots were the most interesting combiners in the G1 series. All 5 technobots
1)scattershot 2)lightspeed 3)afterburner 4)nosecone and 5)Strafe.
mkbauch said,  - 2008-06-21 19:41:18
neen549: That's actually a pretty good idea about having Motormaster "transform" oridnary vehicles. When the effect wears off, they can revert to their origianl states or even be left useless wrecks. He can be a one 'con army, just summoning waves of drone transformers to his side.

I don't know that they'd be able to afford Matthew Broderick for Hot Rod/imus' voice, but I don't think Judd Nelson has anything important going on right now.

since the series is sorta silly, why not seaspray in a popeye voice?Could he command creatures from the sea like aquaman?

err,...maybe not.at lest popeye sounds better than the original voice
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-06-21 19:58:44
Wheelie is My Name, who would voice your characters?

Bumblerbee, I'd rather these characters be able to speak and not be silent (we've already got Snarl and Swoop to do that). Try to think of someone to voice your character.

It would rock if Hotshot was in there! He would be an Auidi TT like he was in Armada. With them awesome belts across his chest-,ah,where's my notebook, I had'em drawn in there,- imagine Armada Hotshot,Animate him up, give him 'Bee horns with tiny bent rectangles, a neck, everywhere that's yellow make it gold, but not vacumm gold, scarlet=brick red.Don't forget his flames on the hood!Outer flame:scarlet,2nd flame:burnt orange,Inner Flame:Yellow
Weapons:
He would have that engine thingee for a handgun and a sword like the Star Saber,Bumblebee's shockers and optic cannons.
Homages:
Hotshot would be an homage to Armada him and to HotRod.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2008-06-21 20:38:34
My characters are either A) an homage to Transmetal Cheetor, or B) Rodimus Prime. I've actually thought a lot about these two because I'd love to see Rodimus come in and be the same old hyperactive little snot that Hot Rod has always been known for, but then be of equal rank to Optimus and Sentinel. I'd get the feeling that it'd really piss them off and lead to just plain nonstop hillarity. Plus, they'd both be ridiculously fast and that could lead to more laughs by getting under Bumblebee's "skin".

As far as voices go, other than Ian James Corlett for Cheetor (if he wanted it), I would honestly really love to voice the two characters myself. As some of you may know, I'm pursuing the ridiculously competative voice acting career and more often than not, I fill the shoes of that "young, inexperienced" character really well. It's just how my voice is. Plus, I'd totally crap my pants to be able to work with the TFA voice cast. I've pretty much grown up idolizing the entire cast my whole life, so it'd really be a dream come true. It may be a little selfish to ellect myself as the role, but hey, it's my dream, so why not?

No Contest! UNICRON! Nuff said!
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-06-21 21:25:56
Skyfire, your character can only have either two weapons and one ability or one weapon and two abilities. Not FOUR weapons and no abilities. You also neglected to say who would voice him.

prfctcellrulz, you need more info than just a name. Unicron has been more than a planet and has been voiced by several people.

TPR, you forgot to say who'd voice Rodimus Prime (aside from you, like how you piut Ian Corlett for Cheetor), and what both characters would turn into (a name and homage do not give away altmodes, my friend).
Slashwing said,  - 2008-06-21 21:59:27
well this one is a LOT easier than the last one. For the animated series, I think that a character from the unicron trilogy is missing from the cast, and IMHO the best character to place in animated would be no other than Vector Prime. He could have his good ol' spaceship mode and Rhisling as his signature weapon.
He would be a nice choice for a story were Optimus evolves into the new supreme commander and becomes the legendary leader of transformers' Mythos.
However I donĀ“t know who would be a good voice for him.Is Gary Chalk a possibility?
TriPredRavage said,  - 2008-06-21 22:14:54
Oh, no, Sabr, I told you. I want to voice Rodimus. Prominently, I'd want to voice Cheetor, but if Corlett was on for it, I couldn't want anyone to do it more. I never really cared for any of the Hot Rodimus voices. And dude, take it easy, you are asking for a lot of info with this discussion topic, they're supposed to be light and fun. You're applying too much pressure! lol

Well, I want Cheetor's body to be similar to his TM bod, meaning that I'd want his Cheetah altmode, but he'd need his jets also so that he can remain as the fastest TF. There's really not much else I can explain. I don't care too much about how similar the robot mode is or the weapons, really just the altmode.

Rodimus, I'd want his usual flame coated chasis, but I'd want him to have a more "Hot Rod" body than his big rig G1 body. Really, all I'd care about the mode is that he'd have his flames and his giant yellow spoiler that became his robot mode wings. It'd be cool if he used the spoiler as a shield or something in robot mode or if he could use it to gluide, but other than that, I don't really know what else. *shrugs*
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-06-21 22:31:03
I'm just asking for who character is (but not one who is already going to be in TF:A), what its altmode is, and who voices it. The rest is optional.

But if one chooses to name the weapon(s) and ability(s), that's the only one that has specific rules to it, the rest is open book.
Blasten Blaster said,  - 2008-06-21 22:32:47
I agree with everything TPR said about Rodimus but I would like to see him named as Rodimus Major with a "slightly" more strict attitude. His Major rank he would neither be greater or less than that of OP and SP in rank but an equal. For his weapons his spoiler (same shape as G1 conterpart) would be either a boomerang, the two end could fold up to be a sword, right in the middle it would rotate 180 degrees to become some sort of Z shaped weapon seperate or pull apart at the middel to created a giant numchuk. WOW so many possibilities from one lil spoiler.
Blasten Blaster said,  - 2008-06-21 22:36:14
Sabr, man you are putting to many restrictions on this topic, you gotta let people share their imagination the way they want to.
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-06-21 22:55:52
All that's required are the character, the altmode, and the voice actor. The rest is optional, and only one them has a specific rule: how many and what kind (depending on their allegience).

I made that weapon/ability rule because of how they're handled in the show. Rather than having a wide range of weaponry and stuff, each character has limitatiions that are seem throughout the show. I mean, you wouldn't have someone part of a maintenance crew to have a bazooka or fusion cannon. And even the Decepticons have been shown to be limited with their weaponry and equipment: Megs only has a fusion cannon and two swords, Lugnut only has his arm cannons, Blitzwing only had his shoulder cannons and arm blasters, BA only has her venom and "shocking-legs", and Starscream only has his null blasters.

These characters don't get four or five weapons, because they don't need them.
kirby626 said,  - 2008-06-22 01:27:52
I would really like to have Silverbolt in the show. He will transform into a Tupolev Tu-144 and he will be voiced by Charlie Adler, who voiced him in the original G1 cartoon but more to the tone of Movie Starscream's voice which was also done by Charlie Adler. He also combines with the other Aerialbots to form Superion.

His weapons will be two lightsabers. His power is of course flight. And is a homage to G1 Silverbolt and G1 Jetfire.
mkbauch said,  - 2008-06-22 02:29:42
Just to lend a friendly suggestion I'd recommend the voice actor Terrence C. Carson for Unicron. He's best known for the role of Kratos in the God of War video game series, and has a deep, authoratiative voice for that kind of role.
The Voice of Reason said,  - 2008-06-22 09:53:25
How about Sixshot, just to make the animators go insane, by transforming into something else every three seconds? I don't know who would voice him... Ryan Drummond?

Wait, no, make it a twelve shot. He could have twelve different modes. Car, tank, plane, lion, dinosaur, satelite, helicoptor, spaceship, stereo, dirigible, cuisinart, war kitten...
Skyfire said,  - 2008-06-22 10:37:58
I think it would be cool if the five show-featured Vehicons were in Animated. Jetstorm could turn into a jet with forward-swept wings, but the vehicle mode would be more like Starscream than his original form. His robot mode would hover like the original. His power would be flight. One of his weapons would be laser guns in the palms of his hands, and the other would be missiles in his vehicle mode. Tankor would turn into a tank like the Mobile Defense Tank made by Lego (see the following URL: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/KimT/ExoForce/7706/7706.jpg) His power would be super strength. His weapons would be a shoulder cannon in robot mode that becomes his main gun in tank mode and his other weapon would be two buzz saws that come out of the front of his vehicle mode like the original toy. Thrust would be basically like the original. His power would be invisibility. His weapons would be a grappler like Animated Optimus Prime's in robot mode, and in either mode he would have a small cannon mounted near the handlebars. He would have wheels for feet like the original. Strika would turn into a six-wheeled armored transport. Her power would be martial arts skills. Her weapons would in both robot and vehicle mode be laser guns and missile launchers. Obsidian would turn into a twin-rotor helicopter like the original. In robot mode he would hover, also like the original. His weapons would be missile launchers in both modes. I don't know about his powers. They would have their original voice actors.

EDIT: I am different from the Skyfire who posted saying he wanted Hot Shot. I didn't know there was another Skyfire here. I'll change my name.
neen549 said,  - 2008-06-22 12:32:18
I really want Hot Rod/imus because of Arcee's appearance. Wasn't blurr going to make an appearance as well, or was that just a rumor? Well, it would be nice to have the 86 movie line-up in Animated.

As for Rodimus' voice, any white-sounding voice (sorry, that's the best way I could phrase it) that doesn't sound uneducated (dude, righteous, what's up) will do. I want a voice that sounds smooth, honest, but hip.

Lets see some more cybertronian citizens! (alpha trion, the girls, shockwave) I want the girls to be tough and war-like, not nail polish, yogurt, special K, salad receptionist-like. Let them trick decepticons with their looks, but I'm not particularly picky with the voices.Since cybertron still exists (right?) they need to write more shows with the planet involved.

Remember the sauropods in the dino park at the beginning of the episode where the dinobots were created? How about SLUDGE as a (robotically carnivorous) brachiosaur or "supersaurus" that would have to be a leader-sized toy? The toy would have to be humongous. He would be slow (unless stampeding in a relatively straight line). His defenses would be size, strength, and a massive tail. His special power would be that he is a living power plant, able to consume anything and turn it into raw materials and energon. Obviously his weakness would be power consumption. He should be created as a decepticon and should CRUSH the autobots the first time he faces them. When he meets the other dinobots, he could join them. I just want a GIANT sauropod transformer toy with electronic lights and sounds, and a huge, gaping jaw that could hold Bumblebee and other deluxes. G1 Sludge was really a cool toy and is forgotten/ very underrated for future reincarnations, I think.
Jumpercliff said,  - 2008-06-22 16:24:28
OK, for this, it would definitely have to be:
-Wheeljack (Neil Ross)
-Bombshell (Jack Angel)
-Chromia (Nicholle Tom)
-Treadshot (Based on his G1 self, voiced by Clint Eastwood)
-And an Animated version of Cybershark (the guy who voiced Aquaman on JL:U.)
Slashwing said,  - 2008-06-22 16:40:05

Byrerprime said,  - 2008-06-22 17:30:58
Man, I love the Quints idea and Motormaster. Would like to see Cheetor or Hot Rod/imus Prime. The Vector Prime idea was awesome as well. I think a cybertronian tank similar to Tankor with the name of Rhinox voiced by the original voice actor (I forget his name) with his signature Gatling gun. He could be maybe a rogue agent or something paying homage to his Beast Machines self. Possibly going after Megatron.
optimusp13 said,  - 2008-06-22 18:00:49
Id like to see Fortress Maximus in animated. And it would be cool as hell to hear either paul dobson or steve blum voice him. his alt mode would be a city and starship of course lol. He would be the autobots new base on earth.

I'd like to see Sky-Byte. There was a huge response to the idea when someone suggested it at the Botcon Animated creators' panel, so maybe it'll happen. A singing, flying shark who tries to undermine the competitors on his team is a perfect addition to the Animated Decepticons.
KraniX said,  - 2008-06-22 19:11:21
i would like to see one or all three of the insecticons.... i would love it if they not only mirrored their g1 selves in personality/ look / and ability... but also in voicing style. they had a certian charm, arrogance, and irony to them that was uncanny....and were among my favorite toys....i remember clammering to my local toys r us when the first episode with them aired the first time.... well one can hope
tonybsuave said,  - 2008-06-22 19:33:14
Optimus Primal, ok here's the idea, in yet another attempt to stop the autobots Megatron decides to clone prime a la RID, unfortunately a gorilla jumps in the way. The result: an evil optimus primal, at first he follows Megs, but over time the good in him wins, but because of all the battles he's had with Prime he's unwilling to become an autobot, so he declares himself a maximal. Voiced by the original optimus primal ( you know the guy) same weapons as animated prime, the axe and the rope thingies, but due to his beast mode he would be much more agile and stronger than prime
Perceptor said,  - 2008-06-22 20:54:50
I want the other Dinobots Sludge and Snarl (we'll just pretend the triceratops is SLAG) Anyway, I'd want

Sludge, alt mode Bracheosaurus. Voiced by the dopey voiced guy from Everyone Loves Raymond, Brad Garret

Snarl: alt mode Stegosaurus, can be anyone, just make him kick ass and dumb as a stone!

On antoher note, I'd like to see Hound make an appearance. Make him a contemporary of Ratchet, and old solider of sorts, and a total combat bad ass. Have him constantly berating Bumblebee and showing him up. I'd have him transform into a pick up truck with a camper shell done over in army colors. Give him his holographic projector, that shoulder mounted cannon, and a pair of short swords. I'd have him voiced by Kevin Conroy (Batman from TAS, JL, and JLU)

i would have astrotrain in tf animated to go with blitzwing (the other triple changer) He would tranform into a train and a space shuttle. I'd have him voiced by the one and only jack angel but then again...

his weapon would be one of his wings becoming a lazer gun and his abilities would be,being able to absorb others power and use it against them. And, being able to get somewhere as quick in a astro second.

Hey has anybody said Wheeljack yet??? He would transform into a car, he would have the power to come up with new inventions super quickly, but im not sure who could voice him.

Someone else i would chose would be Mirage. He would be again a racecar and he would have the power to become invisible! Im not sure who could voice him either though...

If trailbraker was in transformers animated he could transform into a camunication truck, sort of like his g1 alt mode. The ability that he could have is to intercept camunication signals, some of his wepons can be a canon overhis head, a sholeder blaster, arm blaster, and in his alt mode, while his driving he could drop bombs, and that's why they would call him trailbraker.
tonybsuave said,  - 2008-06-23 17:57:55

I would like to see Dogfight as a futuristic jet fighter. His weapon would be a bow and arrow. I would also like to see Skyfall with a sword. He would turn into the same thing as Dogfight, but a different model. They would be the autobot twins. The voice of both of them would be the voice of G1 Sideswipe. Dogfight's special power would be mirages, while Skyfall's would be super speed.

Hound would be cool, but I would not want him as a combat bad ass. He needs to be a pacifist, earth lover, buddy of Prowl. I'd be quite satisfied if they made him a recolor of the Swindle toy.

I would like to see Decepticon Brawl, He would turn into the same sort of tank as Blitzwing and he would have a mini robot partner called Knockout who would turn into another turret to attach to his tank mode, he would also be really strong and have lots of weapons. and would be voiced by whoever does lugnuts voice. knockout would not talk just make beeping noises like R2-D2 and minicons.

This is wishful thinking, but-

Galvatron: Leonard Nimoy
alt-universe-evil-Optimus: David Kaye (with U3/ BW megs voice)
Jetfire: Aussie guy who did his voice in Cybertron
alt-univurse-good-guy-Sentinel: <insert hollywood actor's name here>
Devastator: his G1 actor.
That's all!
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-06-24 12:38:23
Brian Drummond is not an Aussie, he's Canadian. He just did that accent for that version of Jetfire.
mkbauch said,  - 2008-06-24 19:13:31
Eh, either way Perceptor, I'd just like to see Hound get some recognition in the new series. He's been one of the most passed over transformers ever. Outside of G1 I can't think of the last time he got a speaking role on any show. I went with the combat-bad ass motif because it's one thing to be a young kid who considers himself the best (Bumblebee) its another to be the old guy who is considered the best. I wonder if Kevin Conroy can do a convincing Texas accent...that would be good for Hound.
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-06-24 21:33:43
Actually, I think Bulkhead's design is both a homage to G1 Hound ( the color scheme and military star designs) and TF: Cybertron Crumplezone (the size and head), but with added features to make him his own character.

alternate-OP: Same as Ani. Prime.
Jetfire: Same as G1
Devastator: The Constructicons!

Also with:
Unicron: V/o: Same as Galvy Altmode: Planet (OBVIOUSLY!)
Thanks for the correction, Sabvrblade. i didn't know that.

Sabrblade said,  - 2008-06-25 10:54:47
Bulkhead and Hound have the same color scheme and military star designs. Its as simple as that.
The Voice of Reason said,  - 2008-06-25 11:09:26
I don't think Unicron should be on Animated. He was already on the last three series, and if you put him in everything, he loses his effect. However, if we was, I would reccommend Maurice LaMarche (voice of the Brain), as he does an excellent Orson Welles impression.
Jumpercliff said,  - 2008-06-25 12:41:42
Looks like I forgot to include the alt modes and abilities for my choices:
-Wheeljack would turn into a futuristic version of his old form, and could come up with new gadgets just by thinking.
-Bombshell would turn into the same rhinoceros beetle and use cerebro shells.
-Chromia would turn into a race car based on her old design and KITT, and she could have incredible reflexes.
-Treadshot would have a partner similar to Catgut (voiced by (drum roll please)...Kevin Nealon), and he would turn into a vehicle similar to GI Joe's Armadillo mini tank.
-And Cybershark would turn into a tiger shark and is skilled with harpoons and a trident.
Blasten Blaster said,  - 2008-06-25 13:42:02
Ya but IDK if I'll count that because BH is a SWAT van Hound is a milatary jeep and I dont think color scheme and one common detail is enough to call this a homage.
mkbauch said,  - 2008-06-25 13:49:55
Yeah, I'd tend to agree with you BB. Its a nice nod to Hound, but its not a homage.
Blasten Blaster said,  - 2008-06-25 13:55:39
Sorry SABR, like mkbauch its not a homage just a nod.

That's what I meant. Sometimes I tend to merge "nod" in with "homage", thinking of nods as "weak homages" or "indirect homages". "Nod" is what I meant, my bad.

I know Wheelie was a brat, but I'd love to see him in the Animated series with Frank Welker(Am I spelling that right?) as the voice. I would like to see some of the Beast Wars charactures(Original voice actors and actreses) as well as dirrect links and referances to the show. I also think it would be cool if Blackarachnia made an experimental new venom using some of her own DNA,and poisoned Sentinel with it. The venom would work unexpectedly and would mutate him into *Drumroll* TARANTULAS with Alec Willows as the voice. The mutations would be unstable(As would his mind)and Sentinel would not remember any of it,therefore not believing Optimus and the other wittnesses of the incidents. Eventual however, with mysterious injuries all over his body, waking up with an awful headache and on the run from the authorities, and seeing more evidence then he wants to,Sentinel would finaly believe that he is indeed Taranulas, and would do everything in his power to shed himself of the organic mode.
Blasten Blaster said,  - 2008-06-25 15:00:34
Starscream you just reminded me that I would like to see Optimus become a OPrimal, through being merged with DNA. Almost like what happaned to Blackarachnia. And be a homage to Transmetal 1 Optimus Primal. The way he gets his Priaml title would be as a joke that sticks with him as long as he's like this. I think they could get a good season out of that.
Starscream said,  - 2008-06-25 15:23:26
Tarantulas story continued:The more Sentinel tries to remove his organic side however, the more unstable he becomes. Blackarachnia manages to persuade him(As Tarantulas)to team up with her. Tarantulas eventualy falls in love with her, while she sees him as a meer slave(Like the Dinobots). Optimus intervenes however, and manages to convince Tarantulas that he is being manipulated. Tarantulas by this time is completely different from Sentinel and shows no mercy or any good memories of the Autobots. He is actualy a completely different person and is simply using Sentinel's twisted form because he has no body of his own. He has almost completely taken over Sentinel's body and mind, and the proof of that is as soon as he has left Blackarachnia,he double-crosses the Autobots and takes off. Optimus persues him and the two warriors battle one-on-one until Tarantulas pins Optimus to the ground. Optimus begs Tarantulas to remember who he really is,and just as Tarantulas is about to drain Optimus until he dies,he remembers and changes back to Sentinel. Sentinel is almost completely drained and colapses as he passes out. Optimus takes him back to the base where Ratchet examines him. I have written what I think the final scene would be like:The scene is in the medical bay in the Autobot base on Earth. Sentinel is lying on a cot, still drained from the battle. He does not wake up in this scene. Optimus,Jazz,Sarri, and Bumblebee are gathered around the table.
Jazz:Will he be alright?
Optimus:He should be fine. Ratchet put him on life-suport,and he says that recovery should be quick.
Sarri:Will he ever turn back into that, that thing?
Optimus:It's doubtful, but Ratchet says that the mutations are still unpredictable. When he wakes up,he should be under control. It's over, for now.
As Optimus says this, the screen focuses on Sentinel's face and he grimaces and groans slightly in his sleep as Optimus says "Its over, for now."

Character: Dreadwing
Altmode: Techno-organic Bat
Faction: Predacon
Weapons: Two Blades, an energy drain power
Voice: Paul Dobson

Some time ago, a Decepticon Scientist decided to experiment with Transformers using beasts as alternate modes. If completed, these "Predacons" could bolster the Decepticon army and help to make Lord Megatron its rightful ruler. However, the first prototype, Dreadwing, escaped and lives as a mercinary now. Dreadwing is cold and distant, uncaring for anyone save himself. He even despises Megatron deep down for using him and turning him into what he is now. He occasionaly is known to partner with others of his kind, such as Blackarachnia. He despises Lugnut, and believes his loyalty his misplaced, and by the same logic applauds Starscreams attempts at leadership, if only to get back at Megatron. Still, he hates the Autobots "persecution" of him, and will take them down with extreme prejudice, especially Sentinal Prime and Ultra Magnus.

Ohh, that is gold, Darkton. That is made of pure win. Out of all of these ideas (my Quintesson one included), this one is... is... it's so cool I can't even think of a word or words to describe it. I'm speechless, this one blew me away.

I think it would be GREAT to see the original 5-bot Predacon team. What better "super" power than to be the first "Animated" combiner, Predaking? Picture them as trophy hunters, with Optimus Prime's, Ultra Magnus' or even *gasp* MEGATRON's head as the "ultimate" prize! As for who would do the voices? Scott McNiel, of course: He could do all 5...er, 6 different voices, without even breakin' a sweat!

That sounds like you're just taking Lockdown's role and giving it to five (or six) other characters. We don't need six (or seven) Lockdowns, one is plenty.

And yes, I know Lockdown hunts for money and your Preds would hunt for sport. But they're still too similar. Besides, Lockdown also keeps his bounties' weapons as trophies (as a bonus to his job), so he's basically both a bounty and trophy hunter.
draconis_of _nebulos said,  - 2008-06-26 22:03:15
You do have a point there Sabrblade. I was trying to think of some sort of driving force that I could give them, but Lockdown does indeed take trophies from his victims/bounties. I would suggest that the Predacons take him out, to capitalize on the job market, but I've grown fond of Lockdown and his eccentric character. What do you fellow fans think would be a good story pitch for the Preds?
Starscream said,  - 2008-06-27 07:59:57
I agree. Although Lockdown's personality would be a bit of a thrower for that idea,it would a be a good story twist. Darkton,I think that you,Dogzilla, and I should team up and write Transformers stories together.

Sabrblade, thank you. I was thinking of something...different.

And, Starscream, maybe we will. Of course, if my schedule is clean, I can do it. (Currently I'm on a short leash and am only allowed one hour on the computer. >_< Ouch.)

Character: Jetfire
Altmode: Space Shuttle
Faction: Initially Decepticon, later Autobot.
Weapons: Blade (Styled like the U3 Star Saber), Shield
Voice: Maurice LaMarche

Jetfire began as a scientist under Megatron, working as a duo with Starscream. As he began watching Autobot activity, Jetfire began to wonder whether or not the Autobots were really what Megatron claimed they were. For this reason, Jetfire elected not to join the rest of the Decepticons from Cybertron on the Nemesis, rather preferring to observe the Autobots. Soon, word broke out that Starscream was destroyed in battle, but it was not said who slaid him. Jetfire assumed an Autobot attack, and arrived on Earth to avenge his comrade. During his brief battle with the Autobots, he was attacked by a Seeker, revealing that Starscream never had a use for him in the first place. Under this knowledge, Jetfire was taken in by the Autobots, understanding that he was used by Megatron (despite Bumblebee's protests). In time, Jetfire became an Autobot for good.

Jetfire loves Earth culture, especially that of Japan. Often times, he will intercept broadcast signals from there and watch for his enjoyment. Some of it has gone to his head, however, and he will sometimes shout "TRANSFORM" when shifting modes, and pose during battle. However, despite his sometimes rediculous actions, Jetfire is very loyal to his friends. Currently he is thinking of ways for Prime and him to be able to merge into one being, due thier friendship. Still, despite normally positve reception, Bumblebee is still mistrusts him, as he believes he may be using his actions as a trick. Often times Bumblebee and Jetfire get into arguments about his loyalty. Naturally, he and Jazz get along well in their delight for Earthen culture, he respects Ultra Magnus as a great leader, but dislikes Sentinal Prime, who is also shaky about Jetfire's faction swap.

Homages: Jetfires of all kinds.
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-06-28 16:48:30
Unfortunately, Darkton, there's already a Jetfire that gonna be in Animated. And he, like your Jetfire, will have a connection to a Decepticon: Jetstorm, his brother. And he can combine with him, like how your jetfire wants to combine with Optimus. Wait a sec, I'm starting to sense a trend here...
Darkton said,  - 2008-06-29 18:44:30
Oh...I didn't hear about that one...my mistake. >_<

I need to look at ALL my resources before I begin.

If he's voiced by someone who can pull off an Australian accent, I'm going to scream...mainly because that was the intent with my Jetfire!

EDIT: Okay, the Wiki page confirms his existance, just not which episode he appeared in. What was the episode?

What about the Insecticons Darkton? I think they should be introduced in Blasten Blaster's Optimus Primal story. Perhaps they were an experiment gone wrong at the same time Optimus was merged with DNA. They should have voices similar to the ones they had in G1,although they should be a little more understandable. I would like to voice Shrapnel, but I suppose that's an impossible dream.

Dinobot Island could use a good guardien. And what better canidate than TRANSMETAL DINOBOT? Prowl and Bulkhead visit the island and observe that things are amiss. The Dinobots are behaving better than they ever have, yet the wildlife seems to be shook up. The two Autobots plant a camara near the worst damage site and manage to capture footage of a large robotic raptor trashing the camara! The pair decide to investigate and acidently run into Dinobot, who is trying to pull Grimlock out from under a large pile of rocks. Dinobot is at first suspicious, but remembers the two Autobots and decides to let them pass freely. The three begin talking and Dinobot reveals that he has been on the island long before the Autobots brought the Dinoots to it. He explains that soon after the Autobots returned to Detroit after their incounter with Blackarachnia,he confronted the Dinobots, and just to make sure they listened to him, challanged Grimlock to a duel. Dinobot won,and the Dinobots agreed to heed what he said, once he explained that Grimlock was still their leader, while he was their mentor. Dinobot story continued:Dinobot had been partualy sucessful in teaching them that Autobots were good and Decpticons were bad. He had managed to teach them which symbol was which. However they still got uncomfortable around cars and other veichles. While Dinobot is explaining this,a storm picks up,and Prowl and Bulkhead decide it is too nasty to return to Detroit. Dinobot invites them to spend the night in his cave, which they soon discover is more than a cave. It is actualy a small fortress which protects several secrets that are the most valuable things Dinobot poseses. The inside walls of the cave are merged with advanced Cybertronian technology,to give it a more "homely" feel. The first clue to Dinobot's origins however,is a picture that Prowl spots. It is a group shot of all the Maximals that were in service while Dinobot was still a Maximal. Dinobot(In his organic/technological robot mode)stands among them. Prowl asks about the picture, but decides not to inquire futher, because the question makes Dinobot unconfortable, and he refuses to answer it. Dinobot story continued:A large flash of lightning scares Grimock and co.,so Dinobot departs to calm them down. Prowl and Bulkhead decide to explore and Bulkhead discovers the remains of a ship stuck inside one of the caves. Although the technology is anceint,it is far more advanced than anything built on Cybertron at this time, leaving the pair with a whole new set of questions for their host. They decide to enter the ship, and discover a memory bank inside one of the computers that has more pictures of the Maximal crew. Dinobot, they discover has been behind them for quite some time, and before they can ask questions or explain themselves,he grugingly tells them that he will explaing everything as long as they get out of the ship.

I would wanna see the seacons. They would have to have vicious personallities, being hunters with consistant angry smiles, and they would be either experts in sabotage or enforcement (ideally I would have them as bounty hunters in it for the thrill but Lockdown almost shatters that idea). Their abilities would be making typhoons/whirlpools (or else each seacon has its own storm ability) and their weapons would be cannons in their mouths that shoot water and of course rifles that mount on their sides/backs in alternate modes. And just for kicks give them all really raspy evil voices done by Frank Welker.

counterpunch, I want him to change faces Quintesson-style like animated Blitzwing. Have him be an autobot traitor instead of an autobot spy. Have him be the love child of a decepticon-autobot relationship. Not too much romance, though.More action.

Okay, Starscream, I'll tackle the Insecticons!

Name: Insecticons (Raider, Kickback, Stag)
Altmode: Transmetal Insects (Cicada, Grasshopper, Stag Beetle)
Faction: Decepticon
Weapons: Explosive Blasts {Raider}, Control Shells {Kickback}, Electricity Generator {Stag}
Voice: Frank Welker {Raider}, Scott McNeil {Kickback and Stag}

Following the failure of the Techno-Organic Predacons, attempts to create Transformers with beast modes were scrapped entirely. Megatron, however, knowing that a Transformer with an animal-themed altmode was possible, sent his scientists schematics of the Dinobots, gathered from Blitzwing. Using this data, Decepticon scientists created three Decepticons with insect altmodes called "Insecticons". The process was a success, as the Insecticons were created from empty Protoforms rather than existing Transformers. However, the drawbacks of this process are that their cerebral cores are not as developed, and are somewhat primitive compared to most Transformers. Still, the Insecticons are by far Megatron's most dangerous henchmen, especially with their power to clone themselves. However, if too many clones are created, the Insecticons will simply be unable to spilt their focus into so many directions, and may shut down. It was through this method that Prowl defeated them on their first encounter. The Insecticons are somewhat brothers to the Dinobots, and also have to remain in storage somewhere to prevent them from going berserk when not on active duty.

Darkton that is fantastic! Do you think you could through Shrappenel in there too? He is my favorite characture in G1 next to you-know-who followed by Ironhide,Jazz, and Cliffjumper. I had an unusual idea,so if you do like it,let me know. Animated Obsidian and Stika. Obsidian is red, black, sliver, and very dark grey. He turns into an aircraft simmilar to his Universe figure (Sorry I have never seen Beast Machines Obsidian, only Strika). He wears a long red cloak/cape and speaks in a deep yet slightly accented voice. He would be voiced by David Kaye. He seldom calls Strika by her real name, instead he often calls her "My Dear" or "My Pet." Strika is still in the making, but is probably the most changed of the two charactures. I think she should still turn into a millitary ground veichle, but of what type I am uncertain. I am currently playing with the idea of a white, mechanical tank that is smaller and thinner than Blitzwing. Strika is most likely insane. She is white, blue, light grey, silver, and purple. She is very triggerhappy, and has a high whinny voice. She has all sorts of high-tech gadgets, and is quite agile. I have played with her falling in love with an Autobot, but which one I am not sure. She would by voiced by the woman that voiced Harley Quinn in Batman The Animated Series. (Unsure of this Actresses name)
Darkton said,  - 2008-07-08 00:44:56
I gave the Insecticons slightly different names because of...trademark (DUN-DUUUUUUUUN!) Stag is basically the alternate name I gave to Shrapnel. Raider is the alternate name given to Bombshell.

Interesting view on Obsidian and Strika BTW. Not sure about the changes at first, but then I immediately remembered Prowl is not a police car, Ratchet is the new Kup, and even my Dreadwing is not a combination of two Decepticons, so I got over it fast.

Still thinking of ideas. I need a forum to share these with, and some people to do art of them if possible (just wishful thinking). I'll be back when I think of something. Maybe an Autobot.

I can draw TF Animated pretty well (For a Decpticon Comander with little experience in drawing). The problem is *Cue sad piano music* even though I have a digital camera,I can't seem to get a chance to load it on my computer,so no TF Animated fan art from me.

I do like the names Stag and Raider. I can ajust to these. After all,we had to accept that Slag is no longer Slag, instead he is now Snarl(Stupid TF Animated writers #@$%!&*^).

Good luck on your Autobot! Hope to hear from you soon!

Miss me? Couldn't think of many ideas, so I went with a unique Autobot.

Name: Punch/Counterpunch
Altmode: Lamborgihni Concept S
Faction: Autobot (well, sort of!)
Weapons: Energy Sais (As Punch), Disruptor Beam (As Counterpunch)
Voice: Not sure about this one. Probably Scott McNiel (Duo-styled voice for Punch, Piccolo-styled voice for Counterpunch)

If Punch is anything, he's not lucky. An intense battle against the Decepticons intensely damaged his body, making it essentially useless. The Autobots, not wanting to lose thier comrade, underwent a controversial process, headed by chief scientist Perceptor. They would attempt to store his memory core into a body modified from a fallen Decepticon. The experiment appeared to work well...that is, until the mind of the original Decepticon took over, calling himself Counterpunch. Since then, he became a recluse, stress causing his case of multiple personality disorder to swap whoever was in control. When found by Optimus and his team, Punch warned them to stay away from him, in case something happened. At first, Counterpunch attacked when Punch wasn't around, and Bumblebee began to grow suspicious of thier new friend. It wasn't until later that they discovered the truth. Bumblebee wanted him taken out for treason, but Prowl didn't give up on thier fallen compatriot. He taught him how to take control of him transformations and gain control over the rouge Decepticon inside him. Since then, he acted as chief espionage agent for the Autobots, spying upon Megatron's actions. However, this has made him somewhat paranoid, and Blitzwing doesn't exactly trust him that much. Whereas Punch is careful to consider the price of his actions, Counterpunch is ,inversely, impulsive. And while Punch has slight control over Counterpunch, the Decepticon still hates the Autobots, just not enough to want them offline.

In essence, he's Jekyll and Hyde...or Two Face as a Transformer.
