Instruction/Package Art

Posted by:

With a couple hundred new toys coming out per year can one dedicated fan keep up?  (I admit, the answer is) No, but that doesn't stop me from trying!  Check out the Instructions and Package Art Archive for many many additions.  Check the links for 2008

Animated: Package Art/Instructions new additions include: leader Bulkhead, Megatron, Autobot Jazz, Bumblebee, Snarl (yeah, he's actually SLAG), Grimlock, (Voyager) Optimus Prime, Starscream...

Universe Package Art/Instructions new additions include: only classics 2.0 Prowl for now (AWESOME figure BTW!)

Movie Package Art/Instructions new additions include: Deep Space Starscream, Jungle Bonecrusher and Salvage...

Tell you what, people may not think much of the Instructions and Package Art Archive yet, but it's not going to be too much longer; when it starts becoming more complete w/ all the older stuff and it's going to (hopefully) be a more appreciated section of this site... Hopefully considered a great resource... MUCH updating/uploading/database linking to be done.... In time, it's going to rock!

I actually like that you are doing all of this. At the moment I don't need it but in the past there have been many times I have wished I good get a look at instructions for a TF without having to buy it because of my natural engineering curiosity and having to know exactly how a specific figure transforms and what goes where.

So thank you Perceptor for doing all this work for those of us who take the time to wonder how it works.

My pleasure, Masta. If only there were a few hundred more hours in each day, it'd be "done" by now! :)

Cool updates. Prowl does look like a very nice figure but not much of a need if I already have Sunstreaker. I'm gonna wait for Galvatron. Also Perceptor, are you gonna have Marvel Crossover package art/instructions?

same as Master Dex. thanks a lot man.
Just one question:
Anyone knows when are they going to release Blitzwing?

This is a very cool feature of the site you've got going. I'd like to help out somehow, are there any instructions you're missing from your personal collection?

I think you guys have the same picture twice for leader animated Megs.

Good question. We would love to have scans of package art and instructions, but among us three Lukis Bros. we're probably not going to buy all/most of them. So this is where we need help. If any of you have bought them, and have access to a scanner please e-mail some high rez .jpg image scans to me and I'll be happy to add them to the archive.

Can anyone help me with the Marvel Crossover Transformers and Star Wars Transformers?????

This is another good question, but much harder to answer. We have most of the G1 toys covered. I think we have most of the G1 toys covered (it is just a matter of getting everything scanned, cropped, uploaded to the server and linked in our database --no small task, but it'll get done...) So, we'll have to wait and see what toys we're missing. Thanks for offering!

Perceptor, I could lend a hand as well. I've been scrapbooking my instructions for years.

Perceptor, If you want, I can send you venom crossver pictures for your site, out of package though. Please respond so I can help or not. I like Prowl the best too so far out of the three universe guys I have.

Even though I have no interest in the Animated line I do enjoy seeing how the transformation mechanisms work. I think the instructions make a great addition to the site.

Great job guys! It's looking good. Hey, does anyone own a Trans-scanning Optimus Prime to be able to tell me whether or not I should pick one up?
Master Dex said,  - 2008-07-25 18:03:00
I completely forgot they were making those Trans-scanning figures. Are those out, where can you get them.. and as lord megatron said, are they any good?
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-07-25 18:25:18
The Trans-scanning figures are Japanese-exclusive. They're not available in the U.S.

Mind the language though.

Hmm... Seems they had the truck in mind more when designing that. Not worth importing in my opinion, that robot mode looks ugly. However some may like it. Reminds me a bit of the Spirit Evolution figures from Digimon Frontier. Those were brought to the U.S. as well but it seems when stuff starts in Japan it is always better in its original form than when brought here. Though that isn't always the case.

I know this is off the subject I looked at images of Universe (Classics) Cyclonus, it's a repaint and slight head remold of Energon Stormjet! Dang, now I'm disapointed.

Scorpomike, i think its pretty clear thats a REPAINT, considering the people's comments and the category it's under...kitbashes. And i realize now that im behind on my collecting.

This is pretty cool having an instructions and packaging art page. But I have a questions. For one thing on the packaging art are you only gonna do U.S. art or J varients too (like G1 Megs' different arts).
