*UPDATE* New preview images of upcoming toys

New images of several upcoming Transformers toys have surfaced on HK-TK. These toys are all new ones that have been mentioned before, but none of them have really been seen until now. All of the following come from various Transformers toylines, including Masterpiece, Henkei/Universe, and the upcoming Alternity line.

The first image is what appears to be a Mickey Mouse Transformer. The very same one that was seen as a silhouette way back in September. This figure seems to change from a "cartoony" version of a G1 Optimus Prime-esque truck and trailer into a Mickey Mouse mecha, with a little Mickey piloting the bot from the top of its head. (Yes, this will be an official TakaraTomy product. GET OVER IT!)

The second image is of the highly-coveted Masterpiece Grimlock figure. Its confirmation was posted here, but now we actually get to see what he will look like. He is highly G1-accurate, he's all decked out in tech design from head to tow (as he should be), and comes with "him Grimlock's big sword!".

Next on the list is the only non-toy image: a silhouette of Alternity Megatron. As reported before (see previous link), his altmode will be a Nissan 350Z, and will be availiable in both Nissan's blue and Megatron's silver (much like how Alternity Convoy will be released in his red and Nissan's silver).

Lastly, the final two pics are of the Henkei (and Universe) versions of Armada Hot Shot (A.K.A. Hot Rod, but "Hotroad" seems to be his name this time) and Beast Wars Dinobot. Mentioned way back here, these two are finally revealed to the public. Both look kinda like themselves, about as much as the new Cheetor figure resembles its character. Hot Shot even comes with his Mini-Con, Jolt. Jolt will be able to attach via a Mini-Con peg on Hot Shot's shoulder, but sadly this will not activate any features. Dinobot will have opposable thumbs that can be swapped out for actual fists, and his tail will detach to become some kind of weapon that resembles his rotary blade weapon from before, except this one appears to be able to fire a "laser missile".

View all of this awesomeness and awkwardness here.

*UPDATE*

According to Big Bad Toy Store, the Mickey Mouse TF wil be available in two versions: one in black and white and one in color.

I actually am more behind the Mickey Mouse TF than the MP Grimlock, at least until we're shown that it can adopt a horizontal posture. I'll wait for higher resolution pics, but the beast mode looks too static right now. The Mickey Mecha could be awesome in its camp factor.

I like the new dinobot mold, as it's beast mode is incredibly streamlined.

Not Mickey!!!!!!!!! Masterpiece Grimlock looks good. I'm sure his beast mode can be placed in an accurate horizontal position.

Jeez, I said it before and I'll say it again: what the hell are they thinking?!

If the idea of Kiss Players wasn't perverted enough, now we get Disneyformers? Well bring it on then, next stop: MegaDuck.

Masterpiece Grimlock looks absolutely top-notch, so are Hot Shot & Jolt, the new Dinobot looks a bit awkward, as it looks almost a entire different Velociraptor.

Aww, come on - Mickey Prime is pretty funny (in a good way). They are just toys. Mickey Prime is right up my 2 year old daughter's alley.

Hot shot and Grimlock look pretty good too, but I'll reserve judgement on Grimlock until there are some high quality shots - that said, I'm not too worried based on the previous releases.

So that would be Opti-mouse Prime? Eh, the kids will probably like it. That Grimlock is SO mine though.

Truk Not Mowz? I don't really mind the Disney Crossover. What have we got to lose?

Masterpiece Grimlock is pretty cool. Hopefully we can see a release here.

Hot Shot doesn't look bad. At least this figure can move it's arms and head. Those were my most major complaints about the original Armada figure.

Dinobot looks aweful, just like the new Cheetor does. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to buy them both, but I'm really not happy about it...

I'm still waiting on a pic of Classics/Universe Voyager Leo Prime.
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-10-16 15:06:13
Somewhere, it's been said that Universe Leo Prime wil be a redeco of Cybertron Leobreaker.

And all you guys complaining about the Disney Crossover, I'm surprised no one thought of this pun: "Donald Truck". :P
Inferno said,  - 2008-10-16 15:45:41
Well no surprise there really then Sabrblade, I mean, Classics Legends Leo Prime was also molded after Legends of Cybertron Leobreaker

Man, this disney thing is so... I wanna curse. But, in a weird way, I would like to own one of these things because this is an interesting piece of transformers history.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2008-10-16 21:36:52
So, completely off topic, I guess Derrick Wyatt confirmed that the female Starscream clone's coloration was based off of G1 Gigatron (Masterforce Overlord). I guess why no one figured that out was because her colorscheme doesn't look like him/her at all... who knew?
Darkton said,  - 2008-10-16 21:53:11
Mickey seems more akin to the things they used to do for the Star Wars tie ins. If this is an official product, it will likely be to capitalize on ROTF.

Grimlock looks simply amazing. I need not comment on the severe...dare I say it...badass that it is.

Dinobot and Hot Shot are pretty cool. I might get Hot Shot just to replace Armada version. I may wait till' Henkei to get Dinobot, if only because of the differences in the JPN Beast Wars 10th line and the US Beast Wars 10th line.

May get my hands on Megatron, but I doubt it. Much to far for me.

So...my $0.02.

"I" knew, TPR. ;)

In fact, I just finished watching the final episode of Masterforce. Now I've seen it all (save for that VERY informative clip episode, but that doesn't really matter).

On topic, I wonder just what Alternity Megs is going to look like.

I would do anything for a Black & White Mickey Mouse TF.

I'm done griping about the Transformers/Disney crossover toys. If the kids love them, great. I don't hate them as much as most of the rest, but no way am I spending money on them.
What does irk me though is the Grimlock figure. No, I don't think it's bad. Grimlock looks pretty amazing (not to mention these are uncolored prototype images of the figure). But it's the price tag. About $150? You can count me out. Probably over $100 at least if we get a domestic release.
I think someone said it before, but Grimlock isn't that difficult a toy to produce. If you took the G1 figure and tweek it a bit, you'd get an awesome looking figure (not that the G1 figure is bad to begin with). I just feel they could probably produce a smaller Grimmy' somewhat like this maybe in the Voyager class range that will still be amazing. Don't get me wrong, the Masterpiece line has produced some amazing figures (I own both Optimus and Megatron), but they carry a hefty price tag. But I can't help but wonder; what features will MP Grimlock have? Metal parts? Lights? What? Is he taller than 12 inches? Why is he so expensive?
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-10-17 17:26:02
If MP Grimlock is released in the States, then I'm guessing he'll be about $40-$65, depending on how large he'll be.
Overhaul said,  - 2008-10-17 19:35:31
$40-$65? That's a pretty generous guess, especially since the other Masterpiece figures usually start out around $100 over seas, and then wind up about $65-$75 over here when released in the states (I got the first run of the Hasbro MP Optimus, and he was $75 from BBTS).
At best, I think I've seen Prime on sale at Wal-Mart for something like $40 (after I bought mine of course:-().
So if they will simply knock $35 of the price, I figure Grimlock probably wouln't be retailing for anything less than $100, assuming Hasbro decides to sell him here (remember, of the MP figures, we only got Optimus Prime and Starscream as a Wal-Mart exclusive).
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-10-17 22:29:37
When 20th Anniv. Prime was in stores, I got mine from Target at about 50 or 60 dollars (I can't remember) from Target. Then, when Masterpiece Starscream was in stock at Wal-Mart, I got mine for about 33 bucks.

So if Grimlock is as tall as/taller than Prime, I'd say he'd be about the same price or a little more.

Plus, there's also the possibility of Hasbro replacing some/all of the die-cast with plastic to make it cheaper/easier to make. So that will affect the price as well.

Overloal will just be a redeco of the Armada toy.

Did you click the link on the line that says "View all of this awesomeness and awkwardness here."?

It's the last link before the the bolded word "*UPDATE*" on this page.

Oh, right. I didn't notice. I'll just click that and... Oh wait... dead.
